Responsibilities:
As a Principal Technician at Clear Align, your primary responsibility will be to support our Production and Engineering teams.
You'll have the opportunity to work both autonomously and within a collaborative team-oriented environment.
Your daily duties will encompass the following:
Assemble and test optical systems in accordance with delivery schedules Precisely align multi-element lens systems and subassemblies using active and passive alignment techniques Integrate optical, mechanical, and electronic assemblies Perform meticulous optical and electrical testing following work instructions Assist in the inspection of incoming optical, mechanical, and electronic components Contribute to our lean manufacturing efforts, ensuring efficiency and quality
Qualifications:
A self-starter with a positive attitude, committed to continuous improvement Exceptional visual acuity and manual dexterity Strong verbal and written communication skills Efficient, highly organized, and a stickler for detail and cleanliness Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills Capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines A punctual work history required Required Skills:
Ability to read drawings, specifications, and work instructions to determine the method and sequence of assembly Experience with adhesives, epoxies, and micro-soldering techniques is key Competency with metrology equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and drop gauges Computer skills, including proficiency with email, MS Word, and MS Excel Familiarity with interferometers, MTF testing, and scratch/dig optical inspection is a plus Clean room assembly experience with strict cleanliness protocols for space applications a plus Previous experience with Quality Management Systems and computerized databases required Education:
Minimum High School Education required; a technical degree is a plus Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience U.
